I WON! – AND IT’S A TRIPLE-HEADER
GardenComm: Garden Communicators International awarded a 2020 Media Awards Silver Medal of Achievement for my work in three categories.
Since the early 1980’s, the Media Awards program has recognized individuals and companies who achieve the highest levels of talent and professionalism in garden communications.
It’s a mighty good feeling to receive that kind of affirmation from my professional colleagues.
Articles in my newsletter, Eco-Friendly News, Views, Clues and How-To’s usually continue on to this blog, because I have a lot to say and I want to share it with people who care for life on the land. The blog received two awards.
Digital Media: Blog Overall For the site as a whole, with writing, photography and design each judged separately.
Writing: Blog For three posts:
- Looking Across the Fall Line (The Art of Morticulture)
- In Praise of Aggressive Native Plants – Even If They’re Pink
- Is Your Yard a Refuge – Or a Trap – For Pollinators?
The award for Photography: Magazine was awarded for A Garden for All Seasons published in CT Cottages & Gardens. If you didn’t see this gorgeous 10-page layout showing Buddy Nixon’s extraordinary tree collection in Kent when it was published, just click on the story’s title above for a link.
